VFW recognizes Michigan post commander with Distinguished Service Award

PHOENIX, Ariz. -- Modesto De la O, out of Post 1370 in Pontiac, Michigan, received the Distinguished Service Award at the Veterans of Foreign Wars VFW National Convention July 25, 2023. Modesto, a Marine Corps veteran, is a member and past post commander of post 1370 and was recognized for his support for incarcerated veterans, continuous work supporting the Michigan National Guard and for his generosity and vital work through his nonprofit Foxhole.
